Retirement Concepts: Using Work to Your Advantage

Evaluate employment options available to you both leading up to retirement and while retired. Are you trying to decide when you can retire? Explore the pros and cons of continued full-time or part-time employment and develop contingency plans for retirement income. This class will examine the advantages of continued employment in consideration of age, health, financial accounts, and potential retirement income. Students will outline a plan to phase into retirement. The course identifies retirement fallback plans for circumstances such as medical insurance, income gaps, and buyout packages.
