Difficult People, Achieving Success with [610036]

Do you know people whose behavior makes completing even the simplest tasks difficult? Would you like to learn how to have more successful relationships with difficult bosses, co-workers, students, neighbors or family members? Join this class and get helpful information for understanding yourself, solving people problems, and improving your relationships and personal and professional productivity.

Requirements
Internet access, e-mail, the Microsoft Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox Web browser, and the Adobe Flash and PDF plug-ins (two free and simple downloads you obtain at http://www.adobe.com/downloads by clicking Get Adobe Flash Player and Get Adobe Reader).

Syllabus:

Lesson 1

    What's Your Style? Taking a look at your preferred communication style.

Lesson 2

    Are you someone's difficult person? Do you mostly interact as a Ruler, Thinker, Entertainer, or Relater?

Lesson 3

    What's the problem? What do you want to be different about the situation? About the person? About yourself?

Lesson 4

    What's the type? Do you know what they want? need?

Lesson 5

    Rulers- review of hostile/angry people; pushy people, and rude people.

Lesson 6

    Thinkers- review of stubborn people, silent people, and complaining people.

Lesson 7

    Entertainers- review of self-centered, sneaky, and manipulative people

Lesson 8

    Relaters- review of procrastinating, fence straddling people

Lesson 9

    Reviewing the problem situation

Lesson 10

    Selecting a general coping plan: do nothing; say goodbye, or change yourself= attitude and behavior

Lesson 11

    Implementing your action plan; deciding on specific techniques

Lesson 12

    Now what? a review of your progress and potential for future success
