Fire & Ice: Tango and Waltz - no class the week of July 4th (week 4)

ID : 56720
« back to classes page
These two dances are as different as fire and ice: American Tango, kissing cousin to Argentine Tango, is full of passion and fight for dominance while the Waltz is full of elegance and beauty. Both expose us to music that allows us to escape the confines of our daily lives.

We will view videos to inspire us and help us with practice throughout the week. Class will focus on learning basic forms so that it will be possible to dance through a whole song by the end of class.

Practicing will be important and dancers must wear smooth soled shoes
A treaded or rubber sole will not permit the dancer to pivot easily, and that could result in injury when a dancer tries to turn.
