In the growing world of Veterinary office careers the Veterinary Assistant plays a valuable role. A veterinary assistant has the task of helping both the Veterinarian and the Veterinary Technician in the care of all the animals at a clinic or hospital. Tasks such as cleaning and disinfecting laboratory and surgical equipment, feeding and watering the animals, assist in examinations of the animals, checking for illnesses, injuries and disease. Day to day care of animals, feeding, watering, and grooming. 

This course combines 70-hours of classroom instruction with a 40-hour externship to provide you with a complete learning experience for a total of 110 hours of instruction.

Prerequisites: 18 years of age or older; HS diploma or GED; proficiency in keyboarding; basic understanding of computing & word processing; command of English language. Students will be required to have internet access, printing capabilities and an email address. No veterinary office work experience required.

Students must submit cancellation request 3 business days prior to the first day of the class. If not received 3 days prior to first day of class students will forfeit full amount of the course. Students in payment plan that cancel prior to first day of class in writing will forfeit their deposit of $400.00. Students in payment plan that cancel after first day of class in writing are responsible for entire course fee of $1,200.00.
